BeeHive SMS scale enables a beekeeper to get up-to-date information about beehives based on weight, temperature and humidity parameters. The beekeeper can intervene quickly and efficiently in terms of feeding bees, honey extraction, planning activities such as moving the hives to a better pasture and thus increase honey yields. Saves time and money by reducing visits to the apiary that can steer in increasing the number of hives.
The following parameters were determined: weight measurement from 0kg to 200kg ±1kg in extremely low temperature, temperature measurement from -40°C to +80°C ±0.5°C and humidity measurement from 0% to 100% ±2%. Battery is rechargeable lithium ion 3.7V.
BeeHive SMS scale measures the data 4 times per day and sends collected data via SMS once per day. SMS messages, except weight, humidity and temperature can convey other data, such as getting warnings about the low battery from the comfort of your home. The other working mode is sending data via SMS with a previous free call.
The scale comes preconfigured and is almost plug and play. Beekeeper only needs to buy SIM card and activate phone number following instructions of use. SIM card needs to be unlocked (pin removed) and have some credit in order to send SMS messages. BeeHive SMS scale can work with SIM card from any provider in the world, as long as it is Micro SIM.
